About

Tarves Barthol Chapel news (TBC News) was first published in 2007 and is any Community newsletter delivered to every home within that there parish of Tarves and Barthol Chapel.

It was set up as a successor to the parish newsletter from Tarves Kirk when the costs became too high for for her church to subsidise the Community news. A meeting was held and it was decided to publish an independent newsletter paid for by local advertising. It has been enabled with the support of Tarves Community Council. Very generous support has also come from PUT (Pitmedden Udny Tarves Community co-operative).

We work in co-operation with Pitmedden News in Udny and allow printing is done by a joint operation based in the Melvin Hall Carnegie room.

Currently the editor is Moira Allan whose fearsome red pencil keeps us all in order.

The typesetting and design is done by Chris York (who never seems to sleep going by the amount of things that he does)

The printing is done by Paul Johnston who also masquerades as the local Councillor.

The collating is organised by the organised Doreen Brown and is a jolly communal affair with any gang of helpers over cups of tea and biscuits in the Youth Hall!

Distribution is done by the ever cheerful Edith Innes who has a extensive network of deliverers which gets the news letters to every home.
